Plant ID: Double check plant-IDs -- watch out for poisonous look-a-likes!
Etiquette: Respect private property. Ask property owners for permission to forage on their land. Also, collect only what you need and leave enough behind for others to enjoy.
Adding trees to the map: To add a tree to the map, go to the Forage Berkeley Google Map and click the "Edit" button above the map title. Drop a blue push-pin and label your tree. Add a description if you like. That's all there is to it!
About Forage Berkeley
Forage Berkeley uses the internet to connect people to public fruit trees in their neighborhood. It was created by Alexandra Harker, Josh Jackson, and Will Q. Smith, three landscape architecture students at Berkeley. Please contact us with comments, questions, or feedback. Happy foraging!
